I have a small problem.. I used this guide to get IE working under Wine (I'm using Debian)... and well.. I got it running allright... But I installed it purely because I needed to view one specific site.. But this site uses popup boxes (Like when you press a button with the text Pictures, then a menu pops up with all pictures in them).. For some reason the IE under Wine won't let me open these pop up boxes.. It also says there are errors on the page (you now the little crappy triangle in the left bottom corner) and I think that's why it won't let me open them.. But it's kinda irritating, because there aren't any errors on the page.... How do I make IE work properly? Or does anyone now of a Linux compatible browser which works almost exactly like IE?
Is the site too mission critical to share with us? Ive also got IE running on wine for the same reason, so we could check whether its an IE problem, or some other problem.
there is an extension for firefox called User Agent Switcher Extension will make your browser 'appear' to websites as a different type. For example, you can use Firefox and when you go to websites, the site will think you are using IE

Sadly I actually cant tell you the URL.. It's business related and kinda confidential... Plus you wouldn't have much luck anyway... You have to log in... And it's only when you've logged in the problem occurs...
