idiots guide to CD burning needed

hello everyone

I have just fitted my first CD rewriter a Sony CRX230A alongside my existing CDROM drive and it appears to be installed correctly by Linux and I can read disks OK with it.

I am a complete newbie to CD writing and I ran the GnomeToaster program but it has no help so I have no clue as to how to use it.

Could someone point me to some instructions to use GnomeToaster or alternatively suggest another application that I can use?

My first use will be to make backups of existing disks so I need a program that can make

straight copies from my existing CDROM.

thanks in advance.

k3b's more flexible IMO as it can encode oggs & mp3s to cd format before burning.
