Ide
I installed my redhat 7.0 kernel 2.2.16-22
Because of my short ide cable i installed my cdrom on /dev/hda and my harddisk on /dev/hdb is that a problem? |
Shouldn't be a problem. RedHat will know which is a harddrive and which is a cdrom. You may or may not have to point it out during the install. But can't think of any reasons it wouldn't work.

Ok, got it. what about other os.
i am trying to install slackware too.. but is difficult.. |
Slack isn't too bad, just let people know where you're at and they'll help. As for other OS's and your actual 'physical' setup haveing the cdrom as master I take it? Shouldn't be a problem, Doesn't really matter which is first on the cable etc...You still only have one HD, so that'll be what the OS see's/needs.
