ICQ client choice help...

Heya,

I need help to find an good ICQ client to use in KDE on RH7.3 where I can, in one way or another, get my contactlist from Windows ICQ (the original Mirabillis version)... I can go via several other clients if neccesary and use different import/export features....

Thanks for any and all hints I might get :)

There is many out there.. probably the most popular just for ICQ is LICQ.. but check out this page that lists most of them: http://avenir.dhs.org/icq/linux.html

Best Icq client so far i tried is ( full compatiblity with icq 2002a ) Sim-Icq ( http://sim-icq.sourceforge.net )

I use Licq 1.1.0/SSL (Devel) - try here:- http://www.licq.org/ also, take a look at GnomeICU http://gnomeicu.sourceforge.net/index.php

For simplicity, i use Gaim, which has support for most of the
popular chat programs

Many interesting suggestions and I will make sure to check them all out... But are they all giving me a chance to import my contactlist from ICQ in Windows? That's the most important feature I want for it... But thanks for your suggestions.. I'll look into it :)

SilverSnake...that's the main feature I'm looking for too...gaim doesn't do that...I saw a java ICQ on the ICQ homepage but it looks about 4 years old. I'm assuming they stopped development on it...that sim-icq looks like it might if it's compatible with 2002a...I'll have to check it out...
