icons kde4

Is there any way to create an application launcher in KDe 4. There's a widget 'application launcher' but I can't seem to be able to make it work.
I want to have an icon pointing to a program that can be now started from the command line only (e.g. americas army, lightzone, etc).
Thanks

Using the latest Beta of KDE4 here, you should be able to browse to the directory containing the program and drag it's icon on to your desktop which should create a shortcut there. Also Dolphin has an option "create shortcut to application", you can also add it to your kde menu then right clicking on it will give you add to panel, add to favourites and add to desktop options.

I could add an icon (shortcut) to the application to my desktop; but within Dolphin, I couldn't find the option "create shortcut to application", and right-clicking on my application (launch script to eclipse) doesn't give me the "add to panel", "add to favourites" nor the "add to desktop" options...

I could however add it using /usr/lib/kde4/bin//kmenuedit run from the command line. Using KDE 4.0.3 (Kubuntu).

Hope this helps someone... :-)
