IceWM-Icepref

While using Mandrake 9.0, I grew to appreciate IceWM as my favorite WM above KDE, Gnome, the boxes, etc.. Mandrake 9, comes with the Icepref configurator. for several months I've tried without success to run Icepref with Slack 9, Morphix-Gnome 4.0, and Red Hats 8 and 9. As long as pygtk is installed first, the Icepref installation goes without a hitch. However, when trying to run, it fails giving this:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/X11R6/bin/icepref", line 974, in ?
class Label(GtkLabel):
NameError: name 'GtkLabel' is not defined

From what little I've been able to find out, my problem has to do with PyGTK not being installed "properly."

Finding Mdk 9.1 and 9.2 not to my liking, and also wanting apt-get rpm, I've switched my home box to Red Hat 9. This time, anticipating the same error, I installed EVERY single package available with Red Hat 9 and also installed the regular PyGTK. Just to make sure, I used apt-get rpm, and literally installed every package I could find that was even remotely related to GTK, or pygtk, PyGTK, GTK+, Python, Python-GTK, Python2 etc., yet I still have the same problem. I've Googled this thing to death and still come up empty. Can an IceWM user who uses Icepref, (or anyone else), please explain what has to be done, for PyGTK to be installed and configured the way Icepref wants it to be? Thanks.

Use Icecc. No install problems, and icebgset is now fixed! :)
