Question iceweasel - Error: no display specified

Hello,

I am accessing a remote debian machine using ssh. I am unable to set the DISPLAY variable. The machine that I am working on is a Mac OS X and the value of the DISPLAY variable is DISPLAY=/tmp/launch-DGT0Fn/:0. I am not sure how I am to set the DISPLAY variable on the remote machine so as to start iceweasel or even xterm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Swati
