I'm currently using Icecat (78.9.0_pre-2) on Parabola GNU/Linux-libre and I'm interested in using addons. I tried installing icecat-addons package that contained few extensions (like icecat-vimperator version 3.16.0-1 or icecat-noscript version 11.0.26-1), but none of them is accessible through Add-ons Manager.
I wonder if there's a way to fix this issue. Maybe these addons aren't supported in my browser's version?
--- SOLUTION ---
I made a thread on parabola community forum and I found out that installing icecat 78.10.0_pre2 from [libre-testing] repository solved the problem.
This is a very specific question only a Parabola user can answer 100%.
It seems LQ does not have a Parabola subforum, and according to distrowatch, Parabola does not have its own forum but a mailing list instead. I believe that is where you should ask the question.
FWIW, I use vanilla Arch and while icecat is available on the AUR, the mentioned packages and/or extensions are not.
How did you install this addon package, and where from?
Can you not install Firefox addons directly? 78.9 is roughly equivalent to the "normal" Firefox-ESR, there shouldn't be any problems.
That said, Noscript is on 11.2.8 and iirc Vimperator hasn't been updated in a long time; there might be compatibility problems.

I downloded these addons from Parabola repository. I'm currently testing how for I can go using only official repositories and building my own packages licenced under GPL and similar "free" licences, so I'll skip downloading from addons.mozilla.org for now. As far as I know, vimperator isn't there anyway.

Thank you for the research and the hint. However, I just found that contrary to what is written on distrowatch, Parabola does have official forum (and also a mailing list). I'll try my luck there (or I'll just use qutebrowser for these vim key bindings ).
