IceCat and Gnash

Hello,

I recently decided to begin using IceCat (not IceWeasel) and Gnash instead of the regular Firefox and Flash Player combination. I compiled IceCat from sources and installed Gnash through pacman (I use Arch Linux). IceCat runs just fine. The problem I have is that I can't seem to get IceCat to see Gnash. I didn't specify a directory for IceCat to install to so I think it installed to /usr/local/lib/icecat-3.0.0-g1 (correct me if that's not supposed to be the default folder, as that could be the answer already). I put symbolic links to the .so files for gnash in the plugins folder of the icecat directory, however, when typing aboutlugins into the address bar, no gnash plugin shows up. No flash currently works on my browser and I would like to get this set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
