I would like to install a good Text -to speech on ubuntu.
I know Panasonic Voice Editing for Windows(excelent software!), that I use to listen a pronounciation of a specific word because I'm studying english and french language, and festival on linux, but festival I thing is just for english and it's not as good as Panasonic Voice Editing that work on Window. Anybody know other software for linux like festival or Panasonic Voice Editing? Suggest to me.
Thank you in advance. MitchellCS |
Hi and welcome to LQ!
For starters you can look here: http://linux-sound.org/speech.html It's not a good idea to put your email address on your posts. I'd suggest you remove it asap. ciao, jdk |
Thank you!

Festival also works for languages other than English. I don't know of any free software for Linux that's better.
