i want to uninstall KDE/Gnome

hey people

I want to uninstall kde/gnome, and i was wondering what the best way to do it is. I am running debian, so i wondered if i could use "apt-get remove --purge kde*" without making too much of a mess? Or is there some better way to unintall? It is still possible to run window managers like blackbox, right?

I once removed Gnome with that method it should work. Although it will remove absolutly anything that depended on KDE.

It'll work but be careful. Some of the other WM/desktops out there rely on some of those files. It would be a snap though to apt-get yourself a new desktop enviro though and you may get back some of the files you deleted if they are deps.
