I want to migrate from Win2k3 Enterprise to Suse/Linux

Hi there! I currently run (for a server) Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition. I am using Active Directory and have my username/password and info all setup under AD, and using Win XP Pro to login to my domain on my desktop (dual booting it with Suse 9.2) and using Suse 9.2 on my laptop. What I'd love to do is migrate from Win2k3, as much as I love windows, I am finding issues with it lately as far as bandwidth throughput, speed with what I have (although its very fast for being on a VIA EPIA machine with 800mhz cpu embeded, 512 SDRAM PC 133, etc).

Anyhow, with XP Pro being joined under a domain right now (internal.local) and having my account on Active Directory, I was hoping that there was some sort of migration path over to Suse. I'll be running Apache server with PHP...also looking for something to migrate from Active Directory to..like LDAP maybe? Or some sort of major directory service? Not sure how to handle that part. Also I am currently running Argosoft's Mail Server and FTP Server..I know Apache has various servers in it, but was wondering what is a good, free, alternative to Argosoft or even something like exchange? Would love to migrate over this coming weekend. Biggest thing is I really love Linux and would like to make it a more proprietary system now. So if anyone could lend a hand and send tips, tricks, articles, whatever my way that would be most appreciative! Also, if anyone needs any other info to help them figure out the best path, i'll be more than willing to help!

Also...before I forget..I have MySQL right now, and would like to know a good safe way of dumping the db or moving it over safely to linux after getting things setup. Lots of Data there I do NOT want gone :) Thanks!!

I find it hard to believe NOBODY has done a migration.

Google/linux is your friend. Use it. I entered the keywords 'mysql windows linux' and this is one of the first links to turn up.

I would recommend ditching AD, but I think Samba with some other program emulates it (hint, 'samba' is your google keyword ;)).

I once tried to setup a linux client for AD with a windows AD server, what a pain in the butt... I hate setting up kerberos.
