I want to learn to administer an Oracle database
 
In such case I decided to download Oracle and experiment with it... However i have a big question mark..... Which Oracle to download frmo the oracle website??? There is the oracle database, application server, oracle lite, and many others!!! Can someone tell me which one to download for my case to learn how to administer an oracle database (I come from MySQL background so I'm founding this all confusing)

I think you should use the Oracle database. SQL is the language used with it. I guess you will find similarity with mysql & sql so you should not have too many problems. I did a college course on databases & this was the application that we used to get an introduction to database concepts.

It is a big complex application & there are very heavy books teaching the pros & cons of Oracle database management, but to begin with im sure you will find the tutorial guidance you need from the Oracle website.

Go with either 8.1.7 or 9i database.
Application Server is the middle tier and requires
a database to connect to. Don't know about Oracle Lite,
might as well get the full product :)

Installation is not easy, but depending on your distribution
there are published patches and work-arounds available.
