Could you please tell me how can I install the kernel 2.2.14 on a Red Hat distribution with kernel 2.2.16. Thanx!

Just out of curiosity why do you want to do this? But you should be able to just do a standard installation and then download the older kernel source then simply configure it and compile it and install it into your system. Its somewhat of a round about way to do it but it should go! If you need to know how to install the kernel read the kernel how-to at http://www.linuxdoc.com

Linuxdoc.com isn't what I meant! http://www.linuxfaq.com should get you what you need!
|
It would actually be linuxdoc.org ....not .com! It will do just as linuxfaq.com will. But yeah, I really see no point in going back a kernel, but it would be the same as installing the newest kernel available.

I knew it was something like that and when I went there it wasn't what I expected. New address noted!
