I just put bulleted five or six paragraphs on a page by highlighting the entire block, but the OpenOffice WP bulleted the blank lines as well. I understand why, but is there any way to prevent that in the future? (I didn't see any way in the bulleting menu.)

The way I'd do this is to delete the blank lines, then select the bulleted paragraphs & click Format --> Paragraph, then insert the appropriate Spacing - Below.

I got the same results by using a table with two cells per row & the left cell narrow compared to the right. I then selected the left column & made the paragraphs in it bulleted, then put the individual paragraphs in the right cells. I then selected Table --> Table Properties & set the Vertical Alignment to Centered & made the Borders transparent.
