I want my Yamaha RP U100 in Linux

The big question is:

How to get my Yamaha RP u100 USB receiver running under Simply Mepis.

There is software that runs many functions of the Yamaha via a USB port
which connects the receiver to the computer. A setup disk comes with the device and installs an icon on the Win98se desktop.

Is there a way for WINE or another application to to run the Yamaha
under Semply mepis 3.3?

And where is there a good tutorial on installing and using WINE? I've seen the website for WINE but I'll need some real world help in getting the
download installed and setting up the Yamaha Windows software.
