I love pwning the first one (traded some speakers around $50, many moons ago, about 2009:) at first it was update, root, update, root... now it just stays CLIool!

I may look into buying a 2nd gen, someday if the first one ever quits?

The link to the Apple site below indicates that photos deleted are saved for 30 days in the Recently Deleted Album, give that a try.

There are quite a few hits on google to recover files from iphone.
