My girlfriend is really upset that she just deleted some photos by mistake and I'm wondering if there is anyway of getting them back?

Turn it off. Go to Icloud from an apple computer. May have already been deleted off icloud.

You're seriously posting on a Linux forum, using a Windows box, asking questions about iphones? You would probably have much better luck on an iOS forum, or almost anywhere else.

The free version didn't work. Did you backup your phone or sync with Dropbox?

Go on a shooting spree and let the FBI get them back for you. :)

How did you take the selfie?

Just do it again, then take the photo.

Might also have been synced to google.

Have no backup, then the only solution is iphone data recovery tool which can directly restore from device.

I don't have an iPhone, so I'm not 100% sure how the iPhone mounts, but if you can get a filesystem view then you might try running http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec against the iPhone as it is mounted to your Linux computer.

A totally inappropriate suggestion........................but it may just work!

Hilarious.

I guess we're not allowed to say root the thing so the average "Linux forensics tools" won't do...

Edit: don't know if they work on SD, anyhow?

There are three methods to recover deleted photos from iPhone . One method to recover from the iTunes backup files . Two method to recover photos from iCloud. Three is to use one iPhone data recovery app retrieve deleted photos from iPhone .

If your iPhone runs iOS 5 or later, you are able to turn on iCloud backup by going “Settings” > “iCloud” > “Storage & Backup” and switching on “iCloud Backup” on your iPhone. Once iCloud backup is activated, iCloud will automatically back up your camera roll, accounts, documents, and settings.
Plus, try to use iPhone data recovery software. Just download it and follow the instruction.
