I upgraded pcmanfm and now its broken?

This is a strange one... I updated my linux distro and all the software with it and now pcmanfm (my file manager) is broken.

After 98 updates and 4 hours of compiling all the other updates work fine except for the pcmanfm one.

Running it in the terminal says this:

Code:

** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon folder

(pcmanfm:28131): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon folder inode-directory gnome-mime-inode-directory inode-x-generic
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon text-plain gnome-mime-text-plain text-x-generic application-x-executable
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon application-x-shellscript gnome-mime-application-x-shellscript text-x-script application-x-generic application-x-executable
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon application-x-ms-dos-executable gnome-mime-application-x-ms-dos-executable application-x-executable application-x-generic
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon application-octet-stream gnome-mime-application-octet-stream application-x-generic
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon application-x-gba-rom gnome-mime-application-x-gba-rom application-x-executable application-x-generic
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon application-x-spss-sav gnome-mime-application-x-spss-sav application-x-generic
** (pcmanfm:28131): DEBUG: unable to load icon . GThemedIcon text-x-log gnome-mime-text-x-log text-x-generic application-x-executable

The program still loads but all the icons are gone and it flips out and crashes with no error message if you try to do something.

Is this a bug or something I missed?

hi

since no-one has yet to solve...maybe you could state what is your distro?

2) I assume you have compiled your dependencies without errors before attempting pcmanfm?

3) Maybe cross post to lxde forum?
http://forum.lxde.org/

regards

Gentoo Linux.

I just used "emerge pcmanfm" and it took care of the dependencies and no there wasn't any errors.

When I first installed it half a year ago I had to set the "Gnome" icon set as pcmanfm icon set otherwise it would complain.

After reviewing the error a little more indepth it is complaining about missing those icons.

Sadly though, I have no idea what happened to those icons let alone how to reinstall them. :-/

I do not use gnome but maybe copy some icons and creating the pathway that is being complained about.

I am guessing its /usr/share/icons/gnome/(size)

if you know exact pathway error I can upload that folder for you and pm you a link but I need the full pathway as I don't want to tarball the lot as my host site only likes small uploads
