I Took A Screenshot... But, I Can't Save/ Find It
I took a screenshot of my desktop by pressing the print screen on my keyboard, but I don't know where it's saved in my computer. And, a Save window never popped up. Where is the picture at on my computer? Is a Save dialog supposed to pop up when I take a screenshot?

well to help i would need to know WHAT desktop and distro you are using
For Example for Gnome on fedora it is /home/ user name/photos or where ever you saved it to from the save window |
Interesting, I never new "Prnt Scrn" was mapped to anything in KDE. But I just tried it, and ksnapshot popped up.

Gnome is amusing? Just kidding. Check your keybindings. Prtsc should launch "gnome-screenshot". Make sure you have the gnome-utils package installed.

or if for some reason the "print screen" button is not working .Gimp can do a screen shot
start gimp then under File / Acquire click on " Screenshot " |

I don't think the problem is Gimp. I think it could be a system problem. This week, I disabled a bunch of services and uninstalled compiz-fusion. Do you think these are the reasons why I'm not able to take a screenshot? Please, let me know! . |
