I need USB to Serial driver for RHEL-5.1-Client-i386


Hi, I am very new to Linux environment. I am using BAFO USB to serial converter.I don't know how to install USB to serial driver incase of RHEL-5.1-Client-i386 operating system. can anyone help me plz..!!

Without knowing the exact part number I can not say for sure but the device should be supported and therefore you do not need to install anything. Check the output of the dmesg command to see if it is being recognized and you should see a /dev/ttyUSB0 device ID if it is.

Post the output of the command lsusb.
