i need IE (Sadly) for web design testing...

Hi everyone. I am a website designer, and i am currently having great dificulties with this specific website i am building. it uses alot of java, jscript, and jquery, and i finally got all of the issues out of it so that it looked 95% the same across opera, firefox, chrome, konqurer (<Spelling??), and safari. well i published it to a temporary domain name for the client to preview he says it looks like hell. so i had him send me a screenshot and sure enough the navigation buttons had doubles for the slide up visable, the dropdown ment for his sign in had both the rolled up and extended images visible, the body paragraphs were all ska-shad, transparent image backgrounds were displaying white, it looked like a mess in Internet Explorer. so i had him download firefox and then view the page in firefox and the page displayed properly. to be sure it wasnt a fluke, i had a few friends who use windows try out the page in IE and sure enough, it looked like hell (Tested by various friends in IE 5.5 thru IE 9) odly enought, it displayed mostly properly in 5.5. Obviously i cant test in IE as i run ubuntu 10.10. but is there i can get IE to run in ubutu using wine?

I have tried using ies4linux and it doesnt work. each time, it starts downloading an extracting for anout 10 seconds and then randomly closes. when i run it in command line, i get an error that the version of wine that i me using is out of date! ies4linux requires 0.9.x or higher. I Have Wine 1.3. so idk. any suggestions would be helpful.

PS: to clarify, i am not looking for help with the website coding, simply getting IE to run under Maverick. Thanks,

-Mike Stern

I would recommend to install Windows in a virtual machine for using IE.
