I need help installing an rpm
 

hi every one i am very new to linux. i need help installing an rpm file. If some one could please give me detailed and clear instructions, such as where to put the file and what to type in the terminal.

With Fedora Core you can simple double-click the rpm and install it or through terminal log in as root and then type:

rpm -i rpm_file_name

It will be installed automatically then. You can see all the rpm options by typing just rpm in the console or man rpm.
