I need an application that will scan every document on a hard drive for keywords

Hello,
I remember using an application called "Picasa" by Google on my old Windows PC before I switched over to using Linux in the last couple years. I thought it was a pretty neat utility for organizing images. It had a neat feature that grouped images by likeness. It also had face recognition and grouped peoples faces by likeness. I thought that was a useful way to group pictures together on a hard drive that is filled with images of various kinds.
Does anyone know of something similar to Picasa only instead of scanning images and arranging them by likeness, it will scan every document on a local hard drive and arrange them by keywords or the number of times a certain word is used within the document itself? In other words; an application that will scan every documents contents for certain keywords and then group the found documents together by the number of times it contains the same keyword? Or put another way; scan the documents contents itself and not just the documents file name or tag.
Thank you

KDE has what you want in 'Baloo' which is a replacement for 'Nepomuk'.

It is one of the reasons I run KDE - great for sorting thru all sorts of data, find the proverbial needle in the haystack !

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm currently using Linux Mint and I checked the software manager store for that application and I only found what appears to be pieces parts of it. I guess it's not fully available for Mint. Mint uses a modified version of the Gnome desktop environment. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not...
