I need a music indexing server/client app

I don't know if anything like this exists, but I'm looking for a client/server type music application to index all 200GBs of my mp3/flac/ogg files with album art covers, id3 indexing, etc...
The server stores all the info and clients just act as front ends with the ablity to play and edit id3 data.
I know there are web server apps that implement this functionality but I'm looking for a desktop app and not a web app.

Hi, do you know of mpd (music player daemon)? From your description its just what you need.

I don't think this will work for me. I want to play the music on the machine with the client. Not play music on the server.
