i need a jack drum machine/metronome

can someone please make me a jack metronome! even better would be a drum machine that i can set to do piano rolling.

is there a program that can do midi piano rolling to make midi events happen like a player piano? like automatically playing notes on a piano/drum set??? linux is good for music, but it could be spectacular!

fmit is a tuner that uses jackd. And it also has a metronome iirc.

ardour is an audio recording app that also has a metronome / click track abilities.

audacity might also.

rosegarden can create and play midi's.

I'm not sure of the auto-generated options. But there are a number of synthesizer type apps with built in loops and whatnot. If you know a little bit about audio and coding, the sky is the limit.

I think he means midi keyboard editor..Hydrogen has a pattern editor..you can use rosegarden or for a light fast midi editor use seq24 and route it to your instrument..
