I need a command...

I need a command that can print all the devices linked to serial ports. I'm trying to make an old pc run, but the mouse doesn't work; so I need to now if the issue is with the mouse itself or the motherboard doesn't see it.

I guess you can look at
cat /proc/bus/input/devices
and see if your mouse is there...

There isn't any "input" folder, maybe because I'm using a 2.4.31 kernel.

There is going to be a ton of stuff that will not be supported in the old 2.4 kernels. Where the 2.6 kernels will support stuff out of the box the 2.4 kernels are going to require a lot of patches.
