i successfully installed rosetta stone and now i want to install a language pack but that requires the cd drive how do i give wine access to the cd drive so i can install a language pack

Under most common configurations, you can simply do this:
Make sure that the link "~/.wine/dosdevices/d:" points to "/mnt" (It should by default, I think.) Mount the disk to "/mnt" The CD should be accessible by applications running under WINE. |
googled this thread... easier solution is to open $winecfg, go to the drives tab, and click on autodetect. maybe /etc/fstab has to be correct for this to work
|
mount the iso file, copy everything in it to a folder in your home directory, select the drives tab in winecfg and select add. browse to the folder, select advanced and in the drowdoen list, let the type be cdrom. now restart rosetta stone. it should detect the language pack.
