BTW I know people are gonna ask why such an early distro, so I'll answer now. I just decided I'm done with doz and don't wanna buy hyper hardware just to run all the overhead in fixes and patches and crap. But the switch to Mac was -though wonderful- far too easy. So since I still have my PC, I wanna have some fun.

I'd definately go Mac, I just like their support. It's just that I don't have the money to finance my pipedreams....(Dual 2ghz G5 w/ 8GB memory, etc)

I am running RH 7.3 on my Compaq Deskpro 400.

Gnome runs great, however I do have more RAM.

Follow up 7.2 whines that i have to initialize the drive to make the partition. AND that doing so will delete all data on the drive -- so back it up. All i care about is a few songs -- burning that CD now... then I'm gonna try resizing partition 1 and see if that does it.

Well it's just 64 megs RAM but Linux Red Hat 7.2 owns my PC now --running just fine Now to choose apps and all that... This was really fun!
