I deleted my trash in KDE :(
When I first started using Fedora Core 3, I switched into KDE just to see what it looked like. Then when I went back into Gnome, I saw that KDE had put its own trash icon onto my desktop in addition to the Gnome one. Since I was planning on staying in Gnome, I went into ~/Desktop (if I recall correctly) and deleted KDE's trash.
Now I'm using KDE and I don't have a trash bin on my desktop. I can still send files to the trash (I have 2 GB worth in there, in fact) but I can't see it on the desktop. How can I get it back? |
Go to /home/(Username)/Desktop/Trash
|
.Trash not Trash
You have to reveal the hidden files. |
For me, the KDE trash is located here: ~/.local/share/Trash/files
I found that by using 'locate' for a file I knew I had trashed. What I need is a desktop icon that has an option to empty the trash. |
