I delete 100GB of data and myfree space remain the same

I'm totaly new to linux, and i use it just like file manager on my external disk mainly for my server backup.

I installed latest Linux Zorin on my external HDD size 1TB. I have 3 partitions.
dev/sdb3 - ext4 (version1.0) - Linux OS 11GB
dev/sdb2 - linux swap 1GB
dev/sdb1 - ext4 (version1.0) 988GB i leave this partition idepended and it is not assined to home, root or else.

The problem is:
I moved 100GB from my laptop to sdb1 in vtemp directory and before that i had around 600GB free space. When i return this 100GB data to laptop then i use del button to delete 100GB folder vtemp, buth fre space remain on 500GB and trash can didnt show garbage in it.
Then i put again these 100GB in to folder vtemp1 and deleted that folder afer that but this time i have 400GB free space.

One more thing. I have acces to files only as root using my pasword.
