I cant install any kind software
 
Hello, i'm using suse 9, i want to install netscape, everything looks fine, i'm clicking next, ok, end then software ask me to those directory, or create it,i click create, and suddently show on message - "error can't make destination directory please try another directory", i'm have tryed to create in directory in "bin" directory, it can create, but then i'm installing software it's something wrong. i start linux as administrator. what i must to do? how install netscape??

I suppose you will have write permissions to that dir. Try installing it in /home/your_username/bin , or /usr/local/bin . Btw, why don't you try via SUSE's package manager? I'm not familiar with that distro, but it have to have such.

Before you run the command to install it, type "su", and you will be asked for a password. Type the password for the root account, and it will give you another shell prompt, only this time, you'll be logged in as root. As root, you should have permission to practically every directory.
