I can't start NetworkManager ?

My system is Red Hat Enterprise Linux As 4. I can't start the NetworkManager servise.
When I start it, return this error:
Code:
NetworkManager failed. The error was: Setting network parameters: [ OK ]
Starting NetworkManager daemon:
** (process:8180): CRITICAL **: file NetworkManagerDevice.c: line 368 (nm_device_unref): assertion `dev != NULL' failed
[FAILED]
dbus_init(): could not connect to the message bus. dbus says: 'Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory'
I have fount all the system, and no file named system_bus_socket.
I have installed NetworkManager and NetworkManager-gnome.
Why i can't start the NetworkManager ?
