i can't login to fedora 5

hi.i installed fedora 5,everything went smooth,i logged in at the login screen and my GUI started up just fine.used the browser and loaded some apps.anyways,i restarted the computer,and now when im back at the fedora login screen,when i press any button on the keyboard,the screen resolution changes.nothing i type shows up on the screen.how can i fix this? thanks
