creating config.h
config.h is unchanged

What's wrong with the pdksh RPM that comes with your SuSE distribtion?
If you don't have the distribution DVD, CD or an update FTP site, you can find it here:

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i586.rpm.html
