I can't find vim-gtk3 in apt to use gvim


I installed vim using apt but I can't find gvim in ubuntu.
googled how to install gvim and all I got was "sudo apt install vim-gtk3"
But there is no vim-gtk3 in my ubuntu apt.

Hi, and welcome here, at LQ

would be nice to know the exact version of your OS and also how is your apt configured (see in /etc/apt).

What Ubuntu version are you running? On older Ubuntu releases the package name was vim-gtk.

ok, and what is in sources.list and sources.list.d ?
Did you execute apt update [before]?
