I am unable to handle some website scripts on my Linux server

Hi folks,

I am setting up a website to run on my linux server and the website is written in the html format. But I have encounted one problem when I display the web using Mozilla or Konqueror browser:
On the home page I have few tabs named:

home, publications, technologies and etc...And when you place your cursor on one of those tabs there is a pull down menu and then you can click on your selection and it will direct you to the link. With internet explorer it works fine, but with Mozilla or any other Linux browser I have used I am not able to see those tabs, but when i slide my cursor on the area I can see the pull-down menu, but the tabs are not seen and I am wondering if this has to be with some java software that I will have to load in the machine or enable something from Mozilla settings. Thank you for your help. And below is the section in the code that I think it may be involved:

// End -->
</script>
</font>
</strong></div>
<div align="center"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2" style="bold" font color="#FFFFFF">
</font> </div></td>
<td colspan="5" rowspan="2" align="right" valign="top"><script language="JavaScript1.2">mmLoadMenus();</script>
<img name="main_menu2" src="main_menu2.gif" width="621" height="29" border="0" usemap="#m_main_menu2" alt="">
<map name="m_main_menu2">
<area shape="rect" coords="504,0,621,29" href="#" alt="" onMouseOut="MM_startTimeout();" onMouseOver="MM_showMenu(window.mm_menu_1027155043_0,504,29,null,'main_menu2');" >
<area shape="rect" coords="380,0,490,28" href="#" alt="" onMouseOut="MM_startTimeout();" onMouseOver="MM_showMenu(window.mm_menu_1027155006_1,380,28,null,'main_menu2');" >
<area shape="rect" coords="252,0,367,28" href="#" alt="" onMouseOut="MM_startTimeout();" onMouseOver="MM_showMenu(window.mm_menu_1027154610_2,252,28,null,'main_menu2');" >
<area shape="rect" coords="129,0,243,29" href="#" alt="" onMouseOut="MM_startTimeout();" onMouseOver="MM_showMenu(window.mm_menu_1027154807_3,129,29,null,'main_menu2');" >
<area shape="rect" coords="6,1,121,28" href="index.htm" alt="" >
</map></td>
</tr>

Thank you,

My guess would be that somewhere you are using some non-standard JavaScript that is IE-only.
