I am of need of help getting dcgui/quickdc to start

I have been having trouble installing dcgui. I did make install already.
So now I am wondering how do I get it started. I have looked through the whole thing I cannot get it to start. Does anyone know how to start it.
I am also having a problem with quickdc for some reason I start it I can connect to a hub but cannot see anyone. Some times I can see someone but only for a few seconds.:(

I am using redhat9.0 and am on a cable connection.

d00d, i don't know if your talking about that version of direct connect that really sux or the one that is really good...if your talking about the one that sux then i'd advise you to get
direct connect 4 linux
and secondly if that is the one you got that i linked to, then there is an rpm for RH9, and it installs no problem..
but judging by you saying:

i did make install already.
i think your using the dctc text based version where you have to install a gui for..
and if that is the case then i would reallly recommend using the one i linked cause i personally i think it is better than the direct connect windows client...

bling bling, you are winblows from gamefaqs, right?

DrOzz 06-12-2003 01:26 PM

this is my shortcut ...
/usr/local/bin/dcgui-qt --disable-splash

lrobert 06-12-2003 02:07 PM

bling you can get your rpm from dc.ketelhot.de and just
rpm -ivh dclib......
rpm -ivh dcgui.....
rpm -ivh devel.....
and then go to /usr/local/bin/dcgui-gt
it must work....
