Um, are you trying to install on Linux? You do realize this is a Linux forum, correct?

Peace...

Having trouble installing Mozilla in Mandrake 10.0

I am thrilled to say that I have arrived in cyberspace via Linux(mandrake 10.0) for the first time in my life as we speak and I just downloaded Mozilla and tried to install it but it pops up with a window that says,

"Directory/user/local/mozilla doesn't exist. Create it?"

So I click yes, but then it pops up another window that says,
" error [-624]: can't make destination directory"

and no matter what I try I keep getting the same error messege.any suggestions?

It should be "/usr/local/mozilla" (and not "user").
And you have to be root to install it.

from CLI, type SU. This should prompt for a password, your root password.
