I'm looking for software to manage computer repair jobs

I own a small IT shop and we repair user's computers. What I'm looking for is a program that will let me keep track of a computer's history as well as make it easy and quick to record what problems it currently has, etc. Anyone know of a program to do this?

Are you looking for sosftware that's specificly designed for your business' use, or software to handle database functionality? You can build a PHP application that has a simple form where you enter in user details and a free text field for computer info, then store it in a database. PHP is great for rapidly building this kind of stuff. You could probably finish it in a few days (couple hours if you allready know PHP).

regards,

If I actually got stuck I was planning on writing something in PHP but I already have a few projects that are more pressing and more mission critical so I would've preferred something already written and already tested and used by others. Besides the bonus to this field is since the same people who use the software write the software we usually have the best toys. I have to think other programmers would've done something like this already for themselves if anything.

I'm looking for something more industry specific. I have to think other IT repair shops are going to have similar needs.
