I'm tired of the same old Microsoft and Ive just got my first Linux
 

Hello, I was wondering is someone could point me to some good articles to start me off on Linux. ?
I have downloaded the new UBUNTU linux and want some basic questions answered regarding things like 'drivers', MOTHERBOARD drivers etc etc etc. My mind has been brainwashed by Microsoft and I want to break free !!!!

Seriously, there is more documentation out there than you can imagine. Always best to start with a specific question.....

These boards are a good source of info. Whenever I have a question I do a search for it and if I can't find anything then I post it here.

I would recommend the O'Reilly series of books, "Linux in a Nutshell". I'm sure others will recommend ones too. I'll search around for a crash course in linux article and see what I find. If I find anything I'll post back here for you. But otherwise try googling for it.

For bash (the command line in Linux) I've found the O'Reilly 'Linux Pocket Guide' invaluable. It arrived three days ago, and i've become far more comfortable in bash since than i'd managed in six months of using the computer previously.

There's all kinds of great searchable documentation on:
