i'm no longer sudo and can't login in my account on Ubuntu 12.10

As the title said I have problems with getting into my account.I enter my password(which is definitly the right one) but it just keeps returning me back to the login screen. Also I can't use sudo anymore.I tryed to add myself to the sudo group using the recovery mode but it is saying:"can't lock /etc/group;try later".When I try to mount to rw it is telling me that it is alredy mounted. So guys please help me with this problem because I love my Ubuntu and I don't want to go back to windows

I would initially presume that you might have some kind of filesystem damage. You need to start with "fsck."

But, in general, obviously "a lot more 'just happened' .. .." and that is what you need to tell us.
