I'm looking for a "download" monitoring software

Hi there!

My ISP has started limiting my downloads to 150 MB a day. I need some kind of software that will monitor the amount of data that I download.

Unfortunately, there's little complication. I'm also connected to a LAN with no restrictions on download. All monitoring software that I've used so far (NetMeter, Gkrellm etc.) also count the LAN transfers. Is there any software that'll monitor only the downloads coming from outside the LAN?

A little information:
LAN IP Address: 10.10.19.152
Gateway: 10.10.19.129
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128

Thanks in advance.

I'm not exactly sure. But it seems I connect to the internet through the gateway (10.10.19.129)

Here's an output of traceroute if it may help:

Code:

So it is just your computer on the lan that is being restricted and not the whole lan?

Yes, just I'm being restricted. The restrictions depend on the type of package people choose to buy from my ISP. So everyone's limits are different.

It seems a bit odd that everyone on your lan has different download limits from the wan. I suppose you could set up a proxy on your local machine and track your download usage with it.

Hmm...this would involve a lot of work, but I guess I could do it. I'll need to do a lot of reading on proxies.
Thanks for the help david

Any other suggestions anyone?
