I'm an idiot... erased /usr/bin

Ok, so I'm stupid.

I was working on a redhat 9 machine and I executed this command:
for file in *; do ln -fs /usr/local/mysql/bin/$file /usr/bin/$file; done

Don't ask why -- I wasn't thinking. Anyhow, it wrote over everyting in /usr/bin so it looks like this now:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Mar 12 09:08 ybmtopbm -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/ybmtopbm
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 Mar 12 09:08 yelp -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/yelp
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Mar 12 09:08 yes -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/yes
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Mar 12 09:08 ypcat -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/ypcat
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Mar 12 09:08 ypchfn -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/ypchfn
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Mar 12 09:08 ypchsh -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/ypchsh
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 Mar 12 09:08 ypmatch -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/ypmatch
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Mar 12 09:08 yppasswd -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/yppasswd
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 Mar 12 09:08 ypwhich -> /usr/local/mysql/bin/ypwhich

etc etc...

Is there anything I can do to repair this (via SSH)?

sigh...bad day beginning...

thanks,
ZD

more info

I can still shell in, and I can still FTP in... so maybe this can be repaired by reinstalling the correct RPMs? I'm not even sure where to begin...
