Anyone knows what's the equivalent hyperterminal of WinXP for Linux?

minicom

So, minicom eh!....So can I use this to connect to a router....?

I've used Gtkterm as a hyperterminal replacement and it worked fine. easy to understand GUI. Bye
:) Minicom didn't do what I wanted.(download data from a data logger)
