Hylafax server 2:6.0.5-4 on Debian Squeeze number of redial attempt
 

Hi,
I would like to lower the default setup for the redial attempt: it is by default set at 12.

I searched in all the config files in /etc/hylafax directory
-- I can't find it.

I tried to change "Session Tracing 11" to 3 in config.ttyACM0 for my modem but its not it.

Where is this parameter ?

I found this by using www.google/linux

After many research I found the information at http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/man/hylafax-config.php
Read attentively.
Basicly 2 files to configure /etc/hylafax/config and /etc/hylafax/config.ttyXXXX
where XXXX reflects the modem device.

I insist read the document attentively.

The format is tagvalue: x . It is easy to cut and paste from the web site but you have to add the ":" at the end of the tag name if you want it to be valid :). Also remove the words "integer" and other data type definition from it. Save the files and restart the hylafax server, and you'r done.
