Hydrogen almost developed into a train wreck?

Hi.

I had a go on compiling some programs. One of them has been Hydrogen 1.0.0 a few weeks ago to build it into my new LazY Puppy Art Studio 64. But it seems the current developers from 0.9.6beta to 1.0.0 having Hydrogen almost developed into a train wreck.

After successful compiling and testing the menus opened behind the Hydrogen gui, so the entries completely were covered by the gui. Only activating the mixer panel and deactivating it opened the menu entries on top of the gui, so they can be used as intended.

Also there was already a problem in 0.9.7 when using in combination with e.g. Qtractor. This issue continued in 1.0.0.

In combination with Qtractor all long sustained notes like cymbals etc. are cut-off so that sounds really uncomfortable - said so to not to hurt the forum rules.

It seems some changes done to the auto-stop note function is causing these problems.

Does anyone else experiencing these problems.

When using as stand alone program everything seems to be fine, though there's still the issue with the menus.

According to their website (http://hydrogen-music.org/downloads/), Hydrogen 1.0.0 is a beta. You are going to have to expect problems to arise.

I would suggest that you check the Issues here - https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/issues - and open up new issue reports if yours aren't covered.

Thanks.

Yes, I was aware to expect problems. Though the auto-note-off issue continues since 0.9.7.
Even in a 1.0.0 beta it should be fixed, since I reported this issue some time ago already before the Hydrogen page went down. I was registered to their forum and published a drum kit for Hydrogen based on the recorded samples from a huge Sonor Force 3007 drum kit including 21 drums, 24 cymbals and seven foot pedals for different BDs and HHs.

I may try to report on github next week when I can charge my prepaid card for the USB modem for some new high speed volume (I'm currently at 56kb) and if I would NOT need to register to github to report issues.

Just don't want to register on too many places over the web.
