hulu desktop sound not working

i changed the sound server from alsa to pulse audio because for some reason the mic in my webcam wasn't working, miraculously it's working now but hulu desktop doesn't have any sound, am i suppossed to choose a sound output device in the mixer (the gnome mixer you get when you click on the little speaker at the top) if theres no solution then does that mean that i have to go back to using alsa.

okay just took a look at the applications tab in the sound mixer and it says that hulu is running off alsa how do i get hulu desktop to run from pulseaudio (unless i really need to switch back to alsa i guess that's fine with me)
