httpd sleeps

My httpd stops working sometimes.
The 80 port is open but it's not repsonding to any queries.

I need some script to make automatic check if the httpd stoped work and restart it.

Erm, don't you actually need to find out what's causing your httpd to stop responding, and fix that? Anything else would be building on top of unexpected, undetermined behaviour - which would be a really bad idea.

If it's an urgent matter to resuscitate, then perhaps some script like this could cover you while you figure out what the real problem is - but ignoring it isn't a good idea...
