httpd error

i am using Linux version 8. the problem is ii can't start apache web server 2.0 . the error displayed in the log file is
[alert] (22002)Name or service not known: mod_unique_id: unable to find IPv4 address of "linux" Configuration Failed

seems to be a dns lookup problem for your host "linux"

Try add the line linux

to your /etc/hosts file. Of cours any other IP should work as well :-)
